Turquoise and Orange

Happy Wednesday! You have probably noticed me slacking a bit in my posts, but I would rather post thought provoking quality content less often than post garbage. I hope you understand.  I am thrilled you have been enjoying my recent posts and you will see more content about life because it is what I love to write and talk about.  

Today I am wearing a vibrant turquoise blazer I got at my local thrift shop for $2.00.  Such a great find and versatile too! Thrifting can be quite addictive, but I definitely think in this economy, shopping your closet and thrift stores is a great way to be financially savvy and stylish. What I love about thrift shops is that you can find so many unique pieces and many times brand new items with tags still on for unbelievable prices. Do you like thrifting? I usually wear this beautiful orange Dereon bag quite a bit in the summer, but I am getting into the habit of remixing spring and summer items and wearing them all year long

Coral and White

Happy Tuesday loves! I am still trying to figure out a  posting schedule. Blogging everyday is very very hard and for those of you that post every day, my hat is off to you because it is kicking my butt, LOL. I am trying to post more 

because I have so much 

content for you. 

 If you are surprised to see more food posts lately it is because I had been neglecting this part of my blog and focusing so much on the fashion element, that my foodie audience was missing out on all of the great recipes and food content I had to offer, but I think I have settled into a way to make sure that each element of the blog is captured each week. How am I doing so far?  I want to thank all of you for your emails and comments letting me know how much you love the new LV's LA section of my blog. It is definitely fun to share all of my great finds with you:-)

Today I am wearing a simple outfit of coral and white. I love coral and I think it is such a great summer color and it pairs so well with just about any other color.  Do you like coral?

I love old Navy and when I saw this cute tank on the clearance rack, I had to snag it. And this cute scarf? Dollar Tree! There is nothing wrong with a bargain. Do you agree? You can find amazing things everywhere if you are open to it.

I love elephants and they symbolize good luck:-) I saw this necklace and fell in love with it and I don't care if it only cost $1.00, aren't we in a recession?

 

Yes, this is a gratuitous scarf shot, but hey I am excited y'all. An adorable necklace and and a cute scarf for a buck? I am on a roll! LOL

Orange + Polka Dots

 Happy Friday loves! I am so excited about this holiday weekend.  It means eating slabs of ribs dripping with barbecue sauce, grilled burgers and dogs, picnic potato salad and laying under a tree in the park. YAY! And of course recognizing that the day is about more than barbecue, but about taking a moment to recognize the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

 I love the color orange and if you have been following for a while, you know that orange gets lots of play in my wardrobe.  I paired this cute little H&M orange dress with some splashes of black and white. for some reason polka dots always put me in a good mood.   Stay tuned for some fun changes I am making to my blog.  I think you will love them!  So, what are you doing this holiday weekend? I plan to have my face in a plate of barbecue real soon and me and my little one will be off on one of our adventures this weekend:-)

Walking on Sunshine

Happy Friday! Sunny skies and warm breezes in my neck of the woods. This is definitely the season for bold bright colors.  I have been busy in the kitchen making some amazing bold bright foods too!  Expect some amazing recipes perfect for this time of year. Even for those that don't like to be in the kitchen, I have some super easy recipes for you too:-) I am a busy single mom, so I know what it is like to have a lot to do and very little time.  But even so, you still need to be eating well, right? Right!

What are your plans for the weekend? I have a couple of events to go to and am looking forward to one of my food adventures as I explore a new eatery this weekend. My social calendar is pretty full these days, but I am not complaining. Today I am wearing a white blazer and a light breezy tank with jeans and bold accessories. What I like about this look is that when I am busy running around with my son, I can swap my  pumps for a comfy pair of flats and no style is lost.

White on a scorching summer day...

 

To say today is hot would be an understatement....It feels like 100 degrees in the shade. I love summer and icy drinks, sundresses, running through sprinklers, and ice cream, but now I am thinking about pea coats and scarves, boots, nippy breezes and hot coffee. Fall is on the horizon, but since it is still quite warm, I am still wearing lots of sundresses, light comfy tunic dresses and sandals.  But I am looking forward to curling up in a warm fluffy blanket and watching old movies with the heat blasting. I actually do that sometimes while eating ice cream:-)

La Bohemian

 

Happy Friday! Today I am feeling very Bohemian:-) Here is a quick post where I let my accessories take center stage. I am wearing some amazing bracelets from Moxie Chick  that I was beyond thrilled to win in her recent giveaway. The craftsmanship is amazing and they are gorgeous! Today is beautiful and warm, so I plan to take advantage of this nice weather.

These gorgeous bracelets are from Moxie Chick. I love the turquoise pop against the neutrals on this bracelet. These will get heavy rotation and I plan to incorporate them right into my fall wardrobe.
