Abbot Kinney First Fridays (LV's LA)

Abbot Kinney First Friday's is a food lovers dream.  The event takes place the first Friday of each month with more than 30  food trucks with enough variety to satisfy your carnivore, herbivore and sweet cravings. The endless selection of amazing food would have been enough, but the cherry on top was meeting so many friendly people. The vibe is carefree and relaxed with a mix of young couples, families and everything in-between.  My son and I strolled the area sampling lots of delicious food and even made the trek up to Venice Beach to take in a view of the water and the
non-stop entertainment that Venice Beach is known for.

This is definitely my idea of a good time. Great food, music, interesting boutiques and ocean breezes. The Abbot Kinney First Friday's festivities start at 4:00 PM and go on well past 10:00 with all of the boutiques staying open as late as 10:00 pm and some even later.  Everything was great except the parking. It sucked. It really really sucked. We got there early and still had to park a long way and walk, but it helped us burn off all the food we ate:-)

I strongly suggest getting there before 6:00 to try to get a good parking spot. I urge you to go because this event is FUN FUN FUN!

Curb A Peel Food truck was absolutely amazing!

This red sorrel quesadilla by Curb A Peel was delicious and it is completely vegetarian and made with edible flowers. This is seriously the best thing to be put in a tortilla and their other selections are so darn good that I am about ready to follow this truck every where it goes...

The Abbott Kinney area has a great bohemian vibe
Lemongrass chicken tacos from the Nom Nom truck..! Absolutely delicious Vietnamese fusion food!

B Sweet Mobile Sweet truck has the most delicious banana chocolate bread and red velvet bread pudding. And get this, when they served it to me, it was warm! Ridiculously delicious! For the record, I don't even like bread pudding, but it was FANTASTIC!

These push cupcakes are from the Sweet E's mini bakeshop truck. Don't these look amazing?

Red Velvet, Blue Velvet and Vanilla Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcakes from Sweet E's

The blue velvet cupcake has fresh blueberries. Very unique cupcake

So many amazing trucks, it was hard to keep up with them all, but some of the ones that were there were:  Green Truck, Border Grill, Lobsta Truck, The Dim Sum Truck, Curb A Peel, Sweet E's, B Sweet Dessert Truck and many many more that I can't remember
I would show you more, but you might get hungry and jealous of my goodies:-)
Whatever you want, or think you want. They've got it!

It looks like a fabulous event with fantastic food. I happen to like a bohemian vibe so I'm sure I'd love this part of your city. The beach view is nice too. Can you tell I'm liking this new part of your blog ;-)
