Connect the Dots...

Happy Monday Loves! I had a great weekend! I hope you did too. The weather has been amazing, the days are longer and I can taste spring. I am feeling joyful indeed. I always love an opportunity to get dolled up and I recently went to an event where I got to wear this cute flirty polka dot dress. I love dots, stripes and animal print. I did a bit of pattern mixing by combining my animal print clutch with my polka dots. It is a pattern clash, but I think it works:-)
I had so much fun taking these photos that I hope you don't mind that this post is a little more picture heavy than usual:-)

I love the unusual way this clutch is made. You can find some great stuff on Ebay. I have had this clutch for years, but it is still one of my favorites

Colorful in Winter

Happy Tuesday! With so many things on my to do list, sometimes blogging has to take a back seat. Being a single mom means that sometimes my son's social calendar is busier than mine and that does not include sports and other activities. Wooh....mommy is busy.

But I do manage to squeeze in some fun in between the many different hats I wear. I am looking forward to some upcoming trips and they could not come at a better time because I am in need of a personal holiday:-)  As I promised, I am sharing some of my healthier recipes and if you missed the last post, the recipe is here for a great cranberry kale  brussels sprout salad.

My ensemble today is a neutral palette of taupe and a bold splash of color. The light layers are perfect for our California temperatures.

I love the color taupe because it goes well with everything

Would you believe these booties were in the back of my closet and I forgot I had them. Without a walk in closet, sometimes I forget what I have because I can't see it. LOL

Sunny Days

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I had a lot of fun and managed to squeeze in some excursions to the beach:-) I also got some Mothers Day shopping done. How about you? I am looking forward to celebrating with my mother and my son. It is so nice to be honored as a mom and to do something nice to honor my own mother. Do you have any special Mothers Day traditions?

Today I am wearing a very bold ensemble with a Citron blazer, animal print and electric purple. I have always loved the way purple looks with green, especially the lime greens like Citron.

I am a little sunkissed from the beach and all that sprinting and jogging that is a part of my daily workout routine. I just love sunny days:-)

I love pastel nail colors. They are so perfect for spring and summer.

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a good week so far. I am feeling kind of, well, how do I say it? "Blah" As a matter of fact, I didn't like any of these photos, but decided to post them anyway. I'm just having one of those days, but all in all I am having a great holiday season:-)

Rainbow Stripes

Happy Thursday! How is your week so far? School started for my little guy, so now it is back to homework and little league season.  My son thinks his only homework is what the teacher gives him. HA! I am one of those moms that encourages him to stretch beyond what the school system offers and the result of that is nothing short of AMAZING.

I am enjoying these last weeks of summer and wishing that school started in September like it did when I was a kid. I would have been able to do a lot more stuff with my son if his summer wasn't so short, so now we only have the weekends, but I always make the most of them.

I am definitely enjoying wearing my summer dresses while there is still a little warm weather left. The  dress I am wearing is from Burlington Coat Factory and I thought it was the perfect rainbow of colors and a great length.  What I like about this dress is that it can be dressed up or down. I am already imagining how I can style it for winter.

I really love vintage looking dresses and dresses that have a little POOF:-) What are your favorite types of dresses?

I really like these flats and although some may disagree, I think flats and oxfords can be just as stylish as a pair of heels. Do you wear flats?

Have a great day!
