Terrenea Resort

There are some places that make me feel closer to God when I am there. The ocean is one of those places.  The ocean is calming and a great place to relax and recharge your batteries.  Although I love a good adventure, sometimes I enjoy doing absolutely NOTHING, especially in a beautiful and amazing location like the Terrenea Resort in the Palos Verdes Estates.

There is nothing like spending time at an awe inspiring resort.  It is not very often that I get a lot of time to be selfish and indulgent. I am always focusing on being supermom, but sometimes supermom gets super tired.  My relaxing and indulgent experience at Terrnea completely recharged my batteries.

 The brunch was so lovely that I have to write about it in separate post to do it justice. So be on the look out for a great review and lots of drool worthy food photos. This place is just so beautiful and serene, I had to share some photos with you. I hope you enjoy them. And I am forewarning you that there are a lot of pictures:-)

There is nothing like relaxing in a warm bath and then lounging in a complimentary fluffy terry cloth robe:-)

Entertainment was a great set by an acoustic guitarist. Soft and relaxing. So perfect for this lush atmosphere.

Peach Bellini. If you haven't had one, you must try them. They are refreshing and tasty.

 

When I see this kind of beauty, it makes me 

appreciate GOD even more

 It is a blessing to be able to enjoy and experience 

this type of beauty

What an amazing way to celebrate and how amazing to be celebrated.  This is an example of God giving you exceedingly and abundantly more than you could eve ask or think

And there is nothing like your own private cabana to enjoy while lounging poolside with the pacific ocean as your backdrop

On the Good Ship Lollipop

 As we approach Mothers Day, I wanted to celebrate the special little someone that made this holiday possible for me. My son Kaden brings so much light into my life.  I was born to be a lot of things.  A poet,  an inventive cook, a prolific writer and this amazing little boys mother. 

Motherhood, the most exhausting job you will love.  A mother is a protector, an intercessor, a friend,  a bringer of life.  My son makes  my life sweeter than cinnamon. He is the sunshine of my life and the apple of my eye. I love my son more than I can express and when he says things like: "Mommy, I want to be just like you when I grow up" Well, nothing makes me smile more. He says: "Mommy I want to be just like you. I want to pray for people like you do and I want to be a man of God.  My little boy aspires to be a man of God. I know I must be doing something right.

I am sharing some fly on the wall moments from a day in the life with my son.  (there are lots of photos, so I hope you don't mind us sharing them with you) Since my son is always borrowing my Fedora, I decided to get him his own and he was so thrilled and of course he said: "Mommy, can we dress alike?"  I couldn't resist:-)  We went on a little excursion to the park and  the candy shop and then I could not get this song out of my head:

On the Good Ship Lollipop, It's a sweet trip to the candy shop where bonbons play, happy landings on a chocolate bar:-) Remember that song by Shirley Tempill?

A smile and laughter is good medicine.  We smile and laugh a lot!

 where bon-bon's play, on the sunny beach of peppermint bay Lemonade stands, everywhere

Crackerjack bands, fill the air, and there you are

happy landings on a chocolate bar.  

See the sugar bowl do a tootsie roll 

in a big bad devils food cake

if you eat too much, oh, oh, you'll awake

  with a tummy ache.

On the good ship lollipop its a nice trip, in to bed you hop, and dream away, on the good ship lollipop:-)
