Candy Cane Lane is a Winter Wonderland located in the community of El Segundo in Los Angeles. Residents of this swanky neighborhood with a mix of McMansions and cute single family homes have been decking out their neighborhood in a festival of lights since 1949. It is a sight you must see to believe. There is something absolutely magical about seeing homes decorated in a glow of skittle colors to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. The 1200 block of Acacia in El Segundo is blocked so that the general public can freely walk the neighborhood and admire this colorful display of the holidays, so park your ride and get to walkin:-)
My son and I had a great time walking the neighborhood and this will definitely be added to our list of Christmas traditions. We even got to visit with Santa on our excursion to Candy Cane Lane. This is definitely worth checking out, so grab a coffee or hot chocolate and take in the awesome views! Enjoy the pictures, I am thrilled at how they came out and I don't usually take a lot of night photos with my camera. I hope you enjoy them!
This home is decorated to look like the North Pole Airport. Awesome!
Absolutely beautiful to look at
Christmas Carousel on the front lawn of a house
My mini me could not contain his smiles:-)
Christmas train circling the front yard
This house has a fun Charlie Brown theme
Isn't this the cutest?
And to make our outing complete, a visit with Santa!
The magic of the holidays!
I have a photo of myself at the age of 4 smiling exactly like this:-) My son is 5 and looking exactly like I did when I was close to this age. The joy and happiness on my son's face is priceless
"A Beautiful Sight, were happy tonight, walkin in a Winter Wonderland"
What an awesome tradition
My son was quite smitten with this glowing angel
