Natural High...

A natural high is a beautiful thing.  You don't need drugs or alcohol to get high.  All you need is a willing spirit and the stamina to take the journey to the high place.  When you start the journey, keep the end in mind because that will help you put one foot in front of the other when you get tired. And you will get tired.

My feet are firmly planted.

And I climb.  These are the stairs I climb several times a week and sometimes I am so tired I don't have the energy to climb.  Sometimes, I am so tired that I am practically crawling, but I know what I am trying to get to.  So I press towards the mark.

And sometimes I have to stop and rest.  But I know that if I want to get to the high place, I need to start back climbing. Before I start back on the journey I look up, because all good things come from above.

Not everyone will understand your journey. And your feet will tread in unfamiliar territory.

They don't have to understand. Sometimes you won't even understand. Just climb

The gift is in the journey. Take it all in

Smile in anticipation

 Because there is nothing like the view from the top

I am at the top of a mountain that overlooks Los Angeles.  The view from here was worth the climb it took to get here. Stairs, dirt, uneven terrain, I had one thing in mind, I wanted to be in a high place.  Look at your life this way when that climb gets exhausting.

 The wonderful thing about the journey is that now you can reach back and help someone else reach their high place.  A view like this is much better when it is shared:-)

He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and sets me upon my high places.
